We had a fun visit at the
Audubon Wildlife Sanctuary. They have woodsy trails to explore and rescue animals to see.

Sunny's always loved owls (she has owl toys/stories), and Julio the spotted owl was no exception.
Nauntie got grabbed by a tree on our hike. Silly
Nauntie.

Grandma and Grandpa hiked with us. They've been up to visit at least once a month since Sunny's birth - we love it!

Swimming lessons continue each Saturday. Sunny always has the biggest audience. Max and
Nauntie love to come, and
Omi, Papa, Grandma and Grandpa have come, too.

After her bath, Sunny loves to bang on the mirror and make faces at herself.

Auntie Jodie is so fun - she visits Sunny on her days at
Popo's house.

We took this shot of Sunny standing up in her bed (she'd pulled herself up from sitting), and then promptly removed the bassinet. She's now sleeping securely in the bottom of this Pack N Play. She loves standing up, and does it as often as we'll let her. She can support her own weight completely, though we help hold her once she's up so she doesn't strain her legs.

This laundry basket allows me to tote Sunny around the yard while I work outside. On this frosty day, she helped me take down the Christmas lights.

We had a fun visit at the
Yeck house. Sunny and Brooklyn like to hold hands and stare at each other.

Sunny in her new Ergo carrier. Until we figured out how to adjust it correctly, we had super sore backs!
Lovin' on her
Chia-kitty.
Chia mothers Sunny all the time. She's never more than 10 feet away, and she seeks out petting, cuddles, and Sunny's open-mouth kisses. Even though Sunny isn't always gentle,
Chia just flattens herself against the ground and takes it, glad for her baby's attention.
Chia's old and fragile, so we supervise the 2 of them for the cat's sake.

Sunny's getting good with her fingers - she likes to touch her index fingers to ours and pick up small sweet potatos puffs. She's also hugging and delivering big wet kisses to our cheeks.

Standing up like a pro in the bath...Daddy's hands are hovering close, ready to stabilize her, just out of the frame.
Yay, swimming!

Papa and
Omi cheered on our little water pixie.
those thigh rolls are ridiculously cute. that pic of her in the laundry basket is probably one of my favorites. and that hike looks beautiful. i always love getting your updates :)
ReplyDeleteI sure love visiting your pictures! We had a great time on our lunch date, but when Veda says it's time to go, well it's time to hit the road - Yikes! Next time she WILL take a nap before hand :)
ReplyDeleteLet's do it again soon.
