Grandma Kalona (Sharon) is staying with us this week to help with Sunny since Max is exploring South Africa with Great Grandpa Kink. We're having so much fun together, but we already miss Max a lot - especially his big laugh. It's quite the girl party at our house: Grandma, her 2 daughters, baby Sunny and our 2 kitty daughters, too. Too bad Grandpa couldn't come play.Sunny has been honing her pre-crawl techniques, and her best moves are done naked. She's learned yoga's "plank pose" and "downward dog" in addition to alternately pushing out her legs. If her feet meet any type of resistance (like a helpful hand), she coils and springs forward.
She's also wild about standing up. She's pulling herself up on everything In her "fort" today she balanced really well, barely touching the bars for support. It's hard to get her to sit down and rest very much.
She seems able to make every sound we can, and she's stringing them together in entertaining little cartoon sonnets. She's learned she can shriek (unprovoked) today, and grins while cracking the windows.
"Look at me! I'm lifting my bum and swinging it from side to side for the first time ever."
"Proper push ups are all about form. Exhale as you lift."
Sunshine on a naked bum zaps diaper rash faster than anything!
As a pre-Africa trip treat, Daddy swam with Sunny at her lesson. These two are the cutest pair, in my humble opinion.
Sunny helped Daddy pack for his adventure. She's got his safari hat on here. She immediately figured out how to suck the Camel Pack hose - maybe cause everything goes into her mouth.
First hot tub - we turned down the heat for her. Since our hot tub uses a low chemical purification system, we hot tub as a family most nights. It's more relaxing for Mama and Daddy than a cramped bath.
Auntie Jodie and cousins Corinne and Noah kept Sunny happy and entertained during dinner with Popo, Daddo and Great Uncle Mike.
Uncle L.J. explained the importance of being a Ducks fan to our little duckling.
Bath + mirror = twice the smiles.

that pink bunny is such a great pic! they all are, actually. her pretty little hair is growing in, those chubs are amazing. you guys have such a great thing going :)
