We have been talking a lot about swimming in anticipation of Sunny's Angelfish swim lessons. We went to our first lesson at Southwest Community Center on Saturday. Sunny loved it. Even with all the people, noises, and big pool, she seemed totally at home in the water. Max and Nauntie came to cheer her on. Sunny was very excited to be dressed for the pool. Normally she hates getting dressed - it's like she knew this was a special day.

Our water pixie loved the water, the splashes, and the circle songs we did with the other babies.

Sunny is comfortable on her back in the water, but she doesn't yet want to uncoil her little jelly bean body. In a few weeks, I bet she'll be willing to lay more like a starfish.

This is a rare smile during her daily solid-food adventure. She doesn't like the taste of it one bit, and we have to sneak it into her mouth while she chews on toys or her own spoon. Sweet potatoes and bananas are a bigger hit than pears. And rice cereal is a no-go at this point, unless we give her a bottle of it mixed with milk when she's really sleepy.

"Whew, that's a funky flavor!"

Sunny and Aubrey got some fun play time in last week. Brian and Rebecca had Nauntie and me over for dinner while Max was in Florida for work. It was a delicious and fun break! Watching the kids interact was cute and funny. Our little girls sat close and gazed into each other's eyes. They also reached out to touch each other's face. Sunny was fascinated with Aubrey's crawling. Sunny is starting to lift her tummy off the floor. She rocks her hips forward and back. She'll even push off our hands or objects with her feet to scoot herself forward...maybe she'll be crawling within a month or so.
Wow, we can't wait to come an watch the water baby!!! You two look adorable together.
