Poker Face

Sunny joined her first poker game with Daddy, Nauntie, Uncle Scott and Jon, and she was immediately into the timer, chips and cards.
We gave her the "Disney girls" card deck she got while trick-or-treating, and she loved to deal out those princesses and make trades.
Pondering her next move...
Game face! She reminds me of a squishy-faced old mobster in this pic.
To keep her busy and quiet one morning while sick Daddy slept in, Sunny helped me make pancakes. She poured, mixed, stirred, ladled, flipped and then ate about 4 bites of one tiny pancake. Silly girl. I think she looks especially like my baby photos in this pic.

Sunny is overjoyed every time she wakes up from her afternoon nap to discover that Daddy is home. When she wakes, her first words, called through her bedroom door, are typically in this order: "Hello? All done. All done. Mama where-are-you, Mama? Want go see Daddy! Wanna go for a walk? Go see Christmas lights?! ... Diaper off - fresh bum. Shoes? Jacket? Gloves? Umbrella? Hat, put on hat. Go see Santa? Go see reindeer? Christmas tree - so pretty. Ornaments. Wow. Want go see Christmas tree. Want drink of mik, please. Mama? Hello? Hi, Nauntie! Hi, Daddy! Hi, kitties! Ok, all done sleeping. Open door? Open door, please?!! Hold you? Up on Mama." It's hilarious to hear her little, low munchkin voice chattering all this through the door. We sometimes let her talk for a few minutes, since she loves to run through her rapidly expanding vocab while laying in her bed.

When people ask her, "Sunny, how old are you?" She replies, "Eighteen mean months." And then if you ask her, "Sunny, how are you DOING?" She'll pause, consider it, and say, "Doing awesome." If you don't say the "doing" part of the question, she'll repeat, "Eighteen mean months" with more emphasis, like you're an idiot to ask twice.
