Cinnamon Bear Cruise

We put Sunny in her tiger suit for warmth and fun during our first Cinnamon Bear Cruise. Plus, Sunny is so social that other, even bigger kids sometimes shy away from her direct approach. By making her into a little character, other kids are drawn to her, too, and they tend to stick around when she approaches them. She marches right up close saying, "Hi. Hi, big kids," or "Hi, baby." Several kids on the cruise assumed she was part of the show - other characters were in costume, including Cinnamon Bear. There was singing, storytelling and a magic show. Lemondrop the fairy took a shine to Sunny and held her during the magic show. By the end of the 2-hour trip, the cast, crew and many parents and kids all knew Sunny by name. When it came time to collect her photo with Cinnamon Bear from a sheaf of hundreds, I asked the crew, "Have you seen a little tiger in those photos?" The crew pointed me in the right direction, saying "Oh, you're Sunny's mom. I saw Sunny's picture in that stack right there." Our Sunny is a friend-maker and crowd pleaser.

We saw the Goodells on board, and they helped us get great seats. Aubrey and Sunny loved looking out the window together.

Reflection picture - Max is so creative. You can see that Sunny's excited.
By the time she talked with the princess, she was half asleep, but happy.
Sleepy tiger...
On the Willamette River, prowling the decks - She chanted the motorboat song many times.
This photo is funny - a tiger looks so out of place!
Sunny enjoying cheese with her new BFF Lemondrop during
the magic show. Playing with Uncle Scott - he's always so much fun.
Her mullet is getting cuter - at least it curls now. Max and I are still reluctant to cut any of her slow growing hair. Nauntie and Popo each want to help us take care of it, ha, ha!
Sunny sported her sleepy space face after a very busy, fun cruise. Max and I enjoyed being on the Portland Spirit again, where we'd married on August 24, 2002. We sure hadn't forseen that our next time aboard would include our own little person - wow!
Playing in the puddles and pointing out "waterfall!" (how long ago did we last use that word?!) on the way back to the car.
