Sunny loved the
Multnomah Village holiday celebration a couple of weeks ago, especially meeting Santa Claus near the Christmas Tree and caroling in the streets. After the opening song of "Holly Jolly Christmas," Sunny chanted those 3 words non-stop through the following songs...and days.

We went to a pancake breakfast the next day with Uncle Scott and
Nauntie. Many other kids were in their holiday outfits, but we were all dressed as Team Oregon, since we're excited for the championship game.
Brrrrrrrr!

I'm starting to train for my May trekking trip to
Bhutan, and pushing Sunny up and down the hills of the nearby neighborhoods is part of that. We went for a two-hour session, but she didn't fall asleep till we were almost home - "Want out, please. Wanna walk. All done, stroller," she'd protested the whole way.

We had a special early Christmas with Papa and
Omi at our house on Saturday. That morning I'd told Sunny what we'd do together, and she'd said, "Papa and
Omi, outside? Where are you? Go see Christmas lights?" She was ready for fun!

After presents, we headed out to explore
Zoolights - what a pretty holiday tradition to share.

Sunny loved the loud whistle of the
choo-
choo train and all the thick steam that floated over us whenever it chugged by.

Strolling along, surrounded by a "lite-
brite" style wonderland.

She really wanted to see the polar bear, calling out "Cinnamon Bear!" to it. Then, when we got close, Sunny said "Bye-bye! Bye-bye, Cinnamon Bear." We walked another 100 yards down the path, and she doubled back and toddled all the way to the front of the crowd to say her, "Bye-bye!" to the polar bear again. Like her dad, she's drawn to things that scare her a little.

Magical times with Daddy.

On Sunday, we celebrated Christmas at
Popo and
Daddo's house. The
Kelleys, Uncle Scott and
Nauntie came, too - a full house, and TONS of fun for Sunny, who talked and played up a storm.

Looking so nice with her favorite sparkle-shoes on.
Lovin' on Auntie Jodie...
Hangin' out with Noah..."Noah?
Where'd he go? Noah? Noah!! Noah!!! Come on, Noah."

Looking cute in a special
Popo Christmas outfit...

Jodie has her hands full with these two!

What fun! Sunny had woken up on Sunday morning talking about "Go see
Popo and
Daddo," remembering our plans.

Holding onto "
Rinney," who's sometimes Corinne, but mostly, "
ohhh,
Rinney," when Sunny spots her in photos.
Nauntie, who came straight from her soccer game, made sure the dogs and cats got lots of attention - Riot, Satchel, Audrey, Marshall and Phoebe were thrilled.
