We're ready and excited

We're on the home stretch. Sunny Kalona Lee Kwai is due on 6/14, and we're so excited to meet her. I never tire of all our friends, family and clients checking in to see how we're doing and whether she's here yet. Max and I even hang out in her room sometimes. He played the ukelele for me and our fuzzy daughters (2 cats) the other night, and Sunny-baby went nuts in my tummy to the sound of the music. It amazed Max to see my whole stomach moving.
Our niece Halle was super cute during our Lee Kwai family reunion weekend (Memorial Day) at Timberline. She's very interested in my pregnancy and in Sunny. She was fascinated to watch me rub in my "belly butter." For much of the weekend she had one of her dolls jammed up her shirt so she could be my pregnant buddy. Whenever her mom asks her about getting rid of clothing and toys, she specifically requests that they be saved for Sunny. The whole Wandler family has been AMAZING to us--all their baby gear, clothes, advice and encouragement have helped to make our preganancy experience easy and fun! Yes, I said "easy!" We're so fortunate.

It was so warm and sunny that we spent much of the Timberline weekend playing in the pool...surrounded by snow! Max and Halle are the cutest pair. Look at the mutual adoration in this pic! He'll be the greatest daddy.

  2. Ahh...we love being able to help out wherever we can. Halle is so so so excited to meet Sunny, she's had a lot of practice holding newborns lately, with all our friends having had girls so far (6 of them) and then there's 3 more girls to come!!! Hope Sunny is a girl afterall, our friends just delivered a baby 6 days ago and eek...they were told it was a boy, had a shower for boy things, painted the room blue and it turned out she gave birth to a GIRL!!! Ok, don't want to scare you-can't wait to meet my neice, love to you all! Auntie Jess

  4. I believe you when you say "easy". You look like you could go another month or two in relative comfort.
