September Wedding: Nauntie "Uncles" Sean

We've been calling him Uncle Sean for a while now (when you know, you know!).  Nauntie and Uncle Sean were married on September 15th. We traveled down to Grandma and Grandpa's house (the wedding site) early, to help with the preparations.  Sunny was on cloud nine - many of her favorite people in the world were in one place!  And that place was the very special wild-forest playground where I grew up: Arcata, California.

 The busy groom-to-be always found time to read stories and play with his little flower girl.

 So did Grandpa!

Sunny and her beautiful Nauntie enjoyed the local food(ie) rehearsal dinner.

After watching several speeches, Sunny wanted to make one herself, so she went up to the front of the room and told the crowd that she loves her Nauntie and Uncle Sean.

 Sunny's favorite part of the trip was playing with her "cousin" Miles.  These two love each other and get along famously, though they have enjoyed just a couple of visits with each other each year.  They talk about each other often, and they even chat on the phone!

Her tongue is out, her game face is on, and she's determined to earn the candy she knows I'm holding up front...

 Throwing petals like a pro, having a good time as she approaches the actual aisle and seated guests...

Oh, geez - noticing all the people staring at her and taking photos.  Total freeze-up...clutching Daddy as he dutifully tosses the petals himself the rest of the way up the aisle.  I still gave her the candy for not freaking out.

It was a magical wedding, an incredible party, and it's very special to officially welcome Sunny's new uncle to our family! Grandma and Grandpa (with Nauntie's vision) helped pull off a gorgeous and thoughtful event that's destined for the pages of a wedding magazine, I'm sure!

 More special times with Miles...

Kelly and Sean's brunch at Moonstone Beach on the morning after the wedding was a hit, especially with the kids!
