September: Camping and Mtn Biking Expedition

Sunny has been really into dressing herself each morning.  We've seen some incredible outfits. She's proud of herself.
Our friends Aubrey and Brian shared the seesaw with Sunny and Max at the park.
We went camping at Timothy Lake for the first time over Labor Day weekend: an A+ experience. Check out the scene at our "Mountain View" campsite.

There's a huge hiking and mountain biking loop that we charged. It was longer than we'd expected, but we pulled it off. 14 miles of mountain biking with a 3-year-old in a bike seat was so ambitious - and worth it.   These pics are during our trailside leg-stretch breaks for Sunny.

She loved finding dozens of tiny green frogs at the water's edge.
I jumped off my bike to snuggle Sunny: she'd wiped out while prancing down the trail. She made a quick recovery.

Sunny had a cold and wasn't sleeping well (so we weren't either), so we packed up after 2 nights, instead of 3. Moments before check-out, I slashed myself with a broken glass bottle that was poking out of the trash bag.. While I squeezed the gash shut and controlled the bleeding, Sunny and Max broke out the first aid kit to assist me. Sunny was more interested in whether she could eat the pink benadryl tabs than what had happened, which was pretty funny!
