Dad's Day, Pride Parade, School & Summer Solstice

Playin' at Cannon Beach for Father's Day: Sunny and Max explored Ecola Creek, found horses, and smelled a dead fish. Very exciting! Later, Sunny reported to Daddy that, "a seagull took my sandwich! Mama had to run (after it). That seagull ate it up!" All true.
It was a very happy father's day - Max's 3rd holiday as a dad! This is a pic I love from a few weeks back, after Max and Sunny "bumped Noah" in Seaside. Popo and Sunny snoozed on our drive over to the beach Friday afternoon. We went over to celebrate an early Father's Day, since we had separate Sunday plans.
Here we are between Cannon Beach and Crescent Beach. We'd enjoyed some nice weather on Friday afternoon and made the most of it, , and then on Saturday it poured rain. We put Sunny in the ergo, wrapped a garbage bag around us, and headed down to enjoy the super low tide & explore the tide pools. She was fascinated by the way "the anemones open and close," and she loved all the big, colorful starfish.
Monkeying around at dinner with Popo, Daddo and Daddy. Her navy blue sailor dress looked adorable. Great choice, Grandma, and perfect for the occasion!
I made bunny ears over my head to get her to look, and she made ears right back at me.
All dressed up for the Pride Parade (Sunny's 2nd - it's always on Father's Day). Max went golfing.
Ready for action with Rose City babies Veda and Amaya.
The newest Rose City mamas and kiddos: Jamie, Anne, Chris and me with Amaya, Sunny and Veda.
Sunny went to her new "school" with me, Daddy and Nauntie for an hour on Monday, and had a blast. On Wednesday I dropped her off for play and lunch, and when I picked her up to go home, she cried! That's a good surprise that she loves it so much.
New friends!
Grinning, wearing her backpack, in the parking lot of her school: she was ready to go play!
Crazy Nauntie was playing Google Monster with Sunny.
We rolled down to our park to celebrate a sunny, warm Summer Solstice with a picnic!
Sampling root beer from a bottle cap: whew, it's bubbly!
