Happy news: We're doing much better--no more discomfort from thrush for Sunny. I'm feeling better too--not quite as stressed out by the complicated treatment program. Due to the morning medicine, Sunny has a purple face until it fades around 4 pm. Then she looks almost normal (she keeps the purple on her lips-- Goth baby!) till around 9 pm, when I give her the evening treatment. Strangers' reactions are so funny when we're out. Experienced moms approach us and say, "Oh, what a cute baaa...hmmm. What's, uh, going on there?" since they know Sunny's too young for food. I want to say, "She's really into grape popsicles!" just to see their surprise/horror that we'd feed her something other than milk...We had a fun weekend. Grandma, Grandpa and Auntie KK came up and they got to see Sunny's big purple smiles. They also got to talk with her: she loves making sounds and hearing sounds back. She's great at holding up her head (she has been for weeks--strong baby!) so we put her in the baby Bumbo seat to sit her up. She loved it--she pumped her arms and legs and made all kinds of sounds. She also likes to stand up and bounce while we support under her arms. Tummy time is not her favorite--she cries after a few minutes--but otherwise, she seems to be an early developer/learner. Of course, I bet all parents say that about their kids!
Today we're playing with cousins Halle and Sebastian. Sunny is super taken with Halle--she smiles at her all the time and follows Halle's movements with her eyes and head. So fun.
so glad to hear you're all doing better!!!
