November 2013...someone's ready for Christmas

Sunny loves holidays - more than most kids, I think. She can name almost every holiday in order and she LOVES to carefully plan, make and select decorations.  She did lots of Halloween crafts at school with Lola and Olivia, and she had a neighbor kids party. It was hard to tear the candy corn tablecloth away from her (leftover from the party - we don't rock it all the time)...until she realized that "The Holidays" were coming up next.  The following day, she was hard at work on her Christmas cards - we'd purchased them at the National Zoo a week earlier.  I don't know why she's always nekkid.  We call her the naked baby because she is happiest in panties and some sort of hair fancy.  Even in winter. It must be in her Hawaiian blood, to prefer no clothes, no shoes...although when our Hawaiian fam comes to visit, they always need to borrow our snow gear.

Sunny loves to cook, and she's moving from fake food prep to assisting with snacks and sandwiches.
We went looking for the perfect cabin site and found snow!

We broke tradition and spent Thanksgiving with just the 3 of us in Sunriver.  It was strangely simple and super fun. We had the feast @ McMenamins.  And then we biked, hiked, and spent a whole day at the High Desert Museum.  That's where we learned that baby porcupines are called porcupets.
Or Porky-Pets, as Sunny says it.

 That's a porcupet right there.
