Sunny Does Hawaii: Hiking

We were honored and fortunate to explore the windswept foothills, jungles and ridgeline of the Waianae Mountains. What beautiful country! Because it's protected, few ever see it - sadly, not even the locals.

Looking back along the ridgeline: we'd started our hike at the radio tower.

See any hobbits? It was the perfect trail for our little forest pixie.
Standing in one place: Looking towards Pearl Harbor... ...and then turning about 180 degrees and looking over Schofield Barracks Forest Reserve.
Sunny awoke to spectacular views - right before the clouds blew in.
"Look, here come the clouds."
On Daddy's shoulders and above the clouds - what a feeling.

"It's dirty in here."
Sunny loved walking on her own through the bamboo grove.

On another day we hiked out to take in more views from lower down the mountain.
Those are the Waianaes behind us.
The view towards the NW point of Oahu. Coffee Bean Rock, as Jessi appropriately named it.
That's Papa and Uncle Dean holding Sebastian's hands over there.
