Sunny, a.k.a. "Air Traffic Control," regulates the skies whenever a plane passed overhead. Papa was a great assistant. Wherever we are, when Sunny hears a plane or helicopter, her arm shoots skyward and she makes the engine noise. Nothing gets past her. In her word book, her favorite page has photos of "Things That Go." She happily identifies the scooter, motorcycle, bike, airplane and helicopter, making motor sounds for all. Yes, our bike has a motor: the Mama-motor!

"Hey, THERE you are!"

Sebastian was very sweet while he and Sunny played with cars and trains. He helped Sunny with her motor sounds.

Elle ("Auntie Echo") and Uncle Josh visited from L.A. and played with Sunny while we went to a wedding. They are so much fun. Wish we could see them more often!
Nauntie whisked Sunny out to the curb to meet the ice cream truck. We're now part of the permanent route! We keep a stack of small bills by the door for quick purchases. One day we were too slow, and though I tried to chase down the ice cream truck on my bike (
Halle and Sebastian were over, so it would have been a big sale!). I couldn't find it, but we always have popsicles on hand.

Look at the cuties at the kiddie table!

The "all done!" sign and face - there's no mistaking her meaning. Sunny loves to say "uh-oh." She also says "No" very expressively right before she's about to do something she shouldn't. And she does many animal sounds by memory, including a convincing lion's roar. She'll spot a dog three blocks away and tell us all about it. She can repeat words like purple and bed time. She is growing up by leaps and bounds every day. After playing with Popo & Daddo, Auntie Jodie & Uncle LJ, Papa & Omi, Nauntie or Uncle Scott, Sunny is proud to show us her new tricks and words.
Halle loved pulling Sunny all over the yard in the wagon.

Sebastian attacked Max with bubbles.

Full house! Sunny is overjoyed to host her cousins in her fort.

A special Uncle Scott Waterfall at
bathtime...

"I see you over there, Dada!"

Hiking the 4T Trail: trail, tram, trolley and train. We hiked 4.5 miles from the Zoo to
OHSU...

...here we are at
OHSU...

And then we rode the tram down from
OHSU to the trolley along the South Waterfront...which took us downtown for a pit-stop at the Jamison Square fountain (not an official part of 4T, but a necessary side trip on such a warm day)...

...And after lunch we boarded the MAX train to return to the Zoo!
Lovin' that ice cream truck - chocolate-vanilla bliss in the hammock.

"The ice cream is all done?? Really? Sad."
And now, the evolution of an owie: the following took place over 30 seconds.

"Sunny, catch the...oops!" Soccer ball to the face. Point of impact captured, so I stuck with the documentation...

Very surprised...

Upset about the bonk...

And angry about the bad pass...

Mama kisses it better... (self-portrait)
Feelin' good again...

Silly face, off to the next adventure!
