Sunny had a great 1st birthday on Friday 6/11...we opened a few of her cards and gifts, and she did lots of talking and signing.

She's signing for "more" here.

Family, friends and neighbors joined us on Saturday for a backyard birthday luau (it's King Kamehameha's birthday, too) to celebrate Sunny's 1st and Uncle Scott's 40
th birthdays.

Holly and Brooklyn came to play. Brooklyn and Sunny are a sweet little pair.

Auntie Jodie helped Sunny meet and greet guests.

Corinne and
Omi made sure Sunny got lots of snuggles...

Some of Sunny's biggest fans: Papa &
Omi,
Popo, and Grandma & Grandpa!

Max and Noah doing the..chicken walk? Not sure, but they had a blast playing
cornhole.

Sunny loved her flower balloon from Renee.

Wow, we haven't all been together like this since our wedding. Back row: Great Grandma Gwen, Sunny,
Omi,
Popo, Grandma, Auntie Jodie, Corinne, Uncle
LJ. Front row: Papa, Noah, Max, me,
Nauntie and Grandpa. It was so special to celebrate with everyone. What an amazing family we have!

A sleepy Sunny opened all her presents, and played with many before finally crashing in bed at 7. She made it from 11 a.m. till bedtime with no nap and lots of excitement. Everyone held her, walked her around, played with her and talked with her - with not one meltdown. We're so proud of our go-getter girl! During the "Happy Birthday" song, she made a momentary sad face but then began to clap. So everyone followed her lead and clapped through the rest of the song.

Birthday kids Scott and Sunny had a perfect day.

Beautiful Corinne and little Sunny - lovely buddies.

Anne and Chris joined in the fun - Sunny is eagerly awaiting the arrival of their little buddy, due to join the party very soon.

Sunny had some nice quiet moments with Grandma before the party began. The weather was GREAT - we went from pouring rain during the week to sunny (of course!) and warm Saturday weather.

On Sunday, Max and Scott went skydiving to celebrate his 40
th! Several good friends joined them. Sunny loved watching the colorful parachutes float down through the clouds.

Here's Sunny parachute-spotting with Uncle Scott,
pre-jump.

Max and Scott, fresh out of the sky...

Another great adventure logged in the books!
