Play Time, Warm Weekend & First Mother's Day

Snoozing in the yard while Max worked in the woodshop and I speed gardened...
Binky/soother fun with Nauntie. Sunny thought it was so silly, and I couldn't stop laughing after Nauntie's Sunny impression: a starting-to-sadden face, then shoving the binky into her mouth, sucking furiously with wide eyes, and then settling down.
A hot day on the waterfront: we headed downtown to see the Doggie Dash and Saturday Market.

"High-five, Uncle Scott! You're awesome."

Sunny met many Doggie Dash participants. Thanks to her days at Popo and Daddo's (with their 4 dogs), she loves dogs! Even big, sloppy surprise licks to her cheeks didn't phase her.
Party in the play pen! I mean, "fort." Papa and Omi played with Sunny while Max and I went to an event. We are all so lucky to have enthusiastic help from family whenever we need it.
Mother's Day dinner at Papa Haydyn - Sunny was fighting a bad fever but was thoroughly entertained the whole time.

Popo brought bubbles to dinner -so cool!
"Daddy pimped my ride." Hanging out in the sun on Mother's Day weekend.
After disc golf, we came home to find a huge, gorgeous bouquet for Mama, from Sunny! Here Sunny is showing me how she selected the flowers for the arrangement. (Max, you have the finest taste in flowers!)
This is the prettiest bouquet I've ever received - Wow! We've been Jennie Greene fans for years - she even delivered the flowers to our house herself on a Saturday. www.jenniegreenedesigns.com
Here are Brooklyn Reese and Sunny Kalona, just chillin' at Pier Park during our round of disc golf. B.O.B., the stroller of champions. (Yes, we're in a freaky B.O.B. cult. But once you're IN, you're in. You'll see.)
Bubble pixie!
We bought these cute red shoes for Sunny when she was a couple months old. At the time, they'd looked enormous. Now she's wearing them as she walks around (!) holding our hands. Time flies - we can't believe she's almost 1 year old.
This is Sunny's inaugural ride in her new, LARGER red wagon. It's an early birthday gift (because Mom and Dad couldn't wait to play with it) from Grandpa and Grandma. Sunny loves riding high, and we can fit lots of stuffed friends and gear in there with her! Or even a pooped-out parent...

  2. What great shots! Love the ones of the Bunny and Mama crawling around at the park...and her splashing in the fountains. And look at those Bob Snobs!!! Hey, I forgot to mention something about the BOB that might help Sunny's posture in it. See the red straps that were used to strap her carseat onto the stroller, just wrap them around the back of the seat and clip it together, it will make her seat more upright and a much more comfortable ride, plus make it easier for her to reach things on her snack tray! Love you all!
