Our brother Matt visited us today - look how happy Sunny is to see him.

We waited in line with thousands of others @ Liberty High for 3 hours to get the H1N1 vaccine. Uncle Scott saved us - if he hadn't been in line so early (he was there at 3:30 and the clinic started at 5), we would have missed out. They ran out of vaccine just a few people after us.
Popo didn't get it (she needs a shot but they'd run out and only had the nasal spray), but the rest of Team Sunny got it! Thank you Scott,
Nauntie and
Popo for your patience and commitment to keeping Sunny healthy! Hopefully there will be more vaccine very soon for all the families that waited in the cold behind us but were then turned away. Max and I didn't sleep much that night - we felt bad that so many people/children remain in need.

Oh, fun times ahead with this thing. Sunny's just figuring it out. We sing the "Jump up, jump up and jump down" chant with her, just like we learned from Auntie Jessi and Cousin
Halle.

Max LOVES it when Sunny visits him at work. We're still getting mileage out of the monster suit.

Sunshine, bright colors and huge spiderwebs = Fall in our garden. Well, sunshine isn't typical. But we enjoyed it for a few days.

Sunny loved bath time with Grandma. It's adorable how much Grandma loves to hold Sunny, and Sunny loves to snuggle with her. I don't think Sunny spent any time out of grandparents' arms during their visit.

On Halloween Sunny was a hit with visitors at the Japanese Garden. She was dressed in her pumpkin outfit from
Popo.

I got the gardening bug from my mom, so it was extra fun to tour the garden together.

Could this baby be any happier? Maybe she'll love gardens, too.

Fall has arrived. But where are all the
koi? We only saw 1 in the big pools.

Uncle Scott loves to take family photos for us.

It's so fun that Scott and Sunny share their birthday.

The crew: Grandma, Mama, Dad, Sunny and Uncle Scott.

Random baby in a Japanese garden...I think these "floating baby" pics are funny.

Our
pre-game breakfast at Marco's was delicious.
Nauntie Kelly,
Popo and
Daddo went to Eugene to see us beat
USC. Grandma, Grandpa and Uncle Scott watched at home with us.

Sunny had a special time with Grandpa. See how she's holding his face?

Sunny proudly wears a slip handmade by her Great Grandma Ruby, worn by
Popo, then Auntie Jodie, and now her.

Sunny's first visit with baby Brooklyn Reese was really fun, though she tired of our
photo shoot. Her face here says, "Make it stop!" Brooklyn's mom, Holly, made the girls these super cute outfits after Brooklyn's birth. Holly is amazingly creative and thoughtful, especially since Brooklyn was just 10 days old here.

Happy baby, happy daddy.

Thanks so much for the cozy polar bear outfit, Grandma and Grandpa! Sunny seems to have conquered her fear/distaste for hoods since this soft, fleecy one arrived.
i can't believe how big sunny is already getting! i love the floating baby pic. all those maples are just spectacular! looks like you've been having a lot of special times.
ReplyDeletethe whole waiting-in-lines-for-the-vaccine thing feels like russia or something. it's horrible. i got my shot at my OB's office, and lola is on a who-knows-when wait list at her pediatrician's office. but don is going to have to find one of those lines. i'm starting to get really worried about having a newborn in december and not enough of the people around us able to get the vaccine in time... :(
